Tom concentrates his practice in civil and commercial litigation and real estate. He represents design professionals in construction-related cases and advises and represents other business and professional clients. Tom's real estate experience includes representing mortgage lenders, homeowners, property managers and real estate brokers in matters including title issues, title insurance claims, foreclosures, landlord-tenant matters, mortgage-lending litigation, contract and commission disputes, and fraud claims.
Tom is a graduate of Stanford University (A.B., with distinction, 1986) and the Duke University School of Law (J.D. 1990). In law school he received the James S. Bidlake Award for legal research and writing and the American Jurisprudence Award in advanced constitutional law.
Prior to joining Lee & McShane, P.C., Tom was in private practice in Northern Virginia and the D.C. metropolitan area. He is admitted to the bar in the state and federal courts of Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
