Tom practices in the area of civil and commercial litigation, including appeals. He frequently represents design professionals such as architects and engineers in malpractice claims and construction-related disputes. His litigation experience includes architectural copyright matters. He represents land surveyors, contractors, and other business and professional clients. Tom’s real estate background includes representing buyers, sellers, settlement agents, lenders, title insurers, property managers and real estate brokers in title matters, foreclosures, landlord-tenant matters, contract and commission disputes, and fraud claims.
Tom is a graduate of Stanford University (A.B., with distinction, 1986) and the Duke University School of Law (J.D. 1990). He is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
